JUANA CAņAS

Juana Caņas (pronounced "Can-yas") skilfully combines methods of the Renaissance artists with her own personal style to bring life to the art of still-life painting.

Juana Caņas

Her pictures hint at the presence of a person, without ever revealing a human figure. This human connection adds a warm and welcoming quality which draws you into the painting. Her work hangs in private collections in New York, Chicago, Washington, Hollywood, London, Madrid, Brussels, Tokyo, Athens, Dublin, and Panama.

Juana's work features extensively in the book Still Life in Oils by Theodora Philcox, published by AVA.

In autumn 2000, her work featured on the front cover of Symposium - A Quarterly Journal in Modern Literatures, volume 54, number 3, published by Heldref publications.
